Sourdough baker and graphic designer, Emily has had over 6 years of graphic design experience working in Australia and interning in Italy and New York. Emily is a passionate designer with a great understanding of client needs.
Ryan is a frame fabricator, designer and craftsman. Currently operating United Measures Frame Fabrication he brings an attention to detail and knowledge of construction to the studio. Ryan also partners with A Friend Of Mine founder Suzy Tuxen on new venture Significant Others Shop.
Shane has over 8 years experience both locally and abroad at award winning studios in Norway, the UK and Australia. He brings a mathematical and conceptual eye as a photographer and designer to A Friend of Mine projects. Shane goes under the name Silent Partner.
Rhys is a designer and curator with a holistic design approach. Rhys has worked in several boutique studios in Melbourne and as an independent curator since 2003.
Sarah Anderson is a Melbourne based photographer specialising in architectural and environmental photography. Her fastidious eye for detail and passion for the craft makes her a pleasure to work with.
Carla is a weaver who studied Textiles at RMIT. She often focusses her skills in creating limited edition woven art pieces and ornaments for the body. Carla collaborated closely with A Friend Of Mine to create a bespoke hand-made rug for Wired Magazine.
The studio is not currently looking to fill any full time positions but are always happy to receive PDF portfolios if you are interested in working with us in the future or in a freelance capacity.
The internship position is currently filled until August 2013.
We offer a few internships at the studio each year to recent graduates or junior designers. The internships we provide are generally for a period of 1 month, 3 days a week. If you are interested in completing an internship with us please first email some examples of your work to us@afom.com.au. There are a large number of applicants each year so we apologise if on occasion we fail to respond to your enquiry.
