About Us

A Friend of Mine is a holistic design practice based in Melbourne. We work across a mix of industry sectors and design disciplines, adapting creative thinking to varied budgets. From developing brand identities, signage, responsive websites and everything in between.

Every project undertaken is approached intelligently, communicated creatively and crafted with care. We develop long lasting relationships with our clients to build a strong foundation on which considered thinking and design can add value to their businesses and realise their visions.

A Friend of Mine is run by founder Suzy Tuxen alongside designer Veronica Lee & other collaborators.

Our collaborations

A Friend of Mine’s designers collaborate with a range of talented individuals on a project specific basis. This lends our projects a skilled, highly crafted and varied approach.

Employment Opportunities

The studio is not currently looking to fill any full time positions but are always happy to receive PDF portfolios if you are interested in working with us in a freelance capacity.

Internship Placements

We are currently not offering an internship position. We offer a few internships at the studio each year to recent graduates or junior designers. If you are interested in completing an internship with us please first email some examples of your work to us@afom.com.au. There are a large number of applicants each year so we apologise if on occasion we fail to respond to your enquiry.

Thank You

This website contains some work produced whilst at Multistorey, with their generous permission. Projects featured were collaborative efforts within a team, and under direction (Rhonda Drakeford and Harry Woodrow). For more information on this great studio, please visit their website, www.multistorey.net

Finally thanks to Sarah Anderson Photography for photographing much of the work on the site.

Site Build

Our site has been built by the magnificent team at Liquorice Studio.
